)Chitika has gone down the tubes. In the last month or so, publishers have seen revenue drops of 90% OR MORE since Chitika absorbed YPN. They no longer report CTR/CPC, you get number of impressions, CPM )allegedly) and revenue. That's it.
Many publishers who were making hundreds of dollars per day have been reduced to mere PENNIES per day. I am not making this up. Publishers are fleeing Chitika in droves.
See here for a sampling of the fun that's been happening: http://chitika.com/blog/2010/06/01/new-reporting-changes/

Chitika is great if you have lots of visits from US, I am very pleased with it. Not good for international traffic because only US traffic counts.

I put them on one of my blogs a few days ago and I was amazed by click values I received. The only problem I have is that ads are not relevant all the time (3 out of 5 are good).

They have loads of potential. I suspect (and until I get channels I won't know for sure) that they will do best on product related blogs. They seem to serve very relevant ads to my gadget type blogs and struggle on some of my more news related blogs.

If you have a product type site, or have a way to cross promote products, give Chitika's eMinimalls a shot. It may be well worth the time.

Only have been using Chitika for a few days. So far good experience but I wish I could customize the ads more such as borders, etc.

The best part of Chitika has to be the support! I have Ryan from Chitika on my MSN list and he is always ready to chat. I'm a small publisher, this gives a very personal feeling.

If Chitika would stop email spamming potential publishers with automated messages, they'd likely fare a bit better. Everytime I get a "personal" message from them, I tweet asking if anyone else got one which always results in a large round of "yeah, me too" responses. That is the sole reason I've never tried them (and we've got millions of pageviews a month).

I am currently using Chitika on my blog and I am not extremely happy with their service. First of all the contextual mode is not extremely accurate and relevant content is often not found at all. I do like how the payout minimum is low and they pay by PayPal. I also like that I did not have to provide them with my social security number (This is the main reason I did not go with AdSence).

I had heard good things about Chitika, but it was just one of those things that I never quite got around to checking out. Finally, I went to the website, had the code installed in minutes, and Chitika instantly became one of my top revenue sources in the first month! There was literally no learning curve or optimization, so I'm sure my results will be even better once I delve deeper. I simply input the code in the appropriate spot, and I was done. One of the best things about the ads is that they are only shown to visitors who arrive at my site via search engines, so the regular readers aren't bogged down by more ads, even though Chitika is earning nearly as much as the ads that are always visible!

They are nice. Too bad their JavaScript doesn't work in Firefox. There are two errors that cause the ad to not be displayed. I sent a support request to them to let them know.

They did not accept me as they said that they require a certain amount of traffic to the site before one can signup. I have seen and know many sites which have a very low traffic but still have Chitka ad program.

I have been using Chitika for almost a month now, mainly to get away from AdSense as only source of income. My website is in the gaming niche not a that good niche in terms of advertising because of the young audience and no really expensive products. Nonetheless my Chitika CPC is 30 percent higher than my AdSense CPC, which stunned me at first because AdSense was priorly the program that got me the highest CPC. Looking at my monthly revenue now around 20 percent comes from Chitika which is not that much of course. But considering that only 10 percent of my search engine visitor see the ads and generate 20 percent of my total income then yes, that's a nice in earnings. I am really satisfied.

If you already have many pages that are geared to specific products for other affiliate programs, Chitika may allow you to greatly increase your revenue and results. Click values have been reported to us as in the $0.20 to $0.50 range generally, but over $1.00 in some cases, with overall CPMs reported in the $4 to $60 range, depending on how well the appropriate products are targeted. Several webmasters have commented that Chitika represents the best new revenue opportunity since AdSense.
