Back of America is a wonderful bank...very helpful to me...maybe you guys should stop blaming them and pay attention to how much money you really have and then maybe you would get charge with all those fees...

They closed my credit card account.

They did not notify me.

When I asked them, they said they closed it because of inactivity and were not obligated to notify me.

IF I COULD GIVE THEM A -100, I WOULD. THE WORST, MOST CROOKED BANK I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH IN 60 YEARS! THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE ELDERLY. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS THEIR "KEEP THE CHANGE" PROGRAM...AS THEY WILL NEVER GIVE YOU YOUR ANNUAL 100% MATCH. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A JOKE. THEIR FEES ARE OUTRAGEOUS.

Everyone who I have talked to has complained about Bank of America. They change rules without telling anyone, they are just a horrible bank. I will NEVER recomend this bank to anyone, as a matter of fact I always tell people to not use them. This bank has cost me so much money in random charges and overdraft fees that I didn't deserve.

bank of america loves to suck out all the opportunities in a customer for their benefit. they promised to give me 75 dollars when I open my account but nothing was credited and delivered. They told me to wait for 90 days and I waited but after 100 days the supervicosr Donald told me I am not qualified

I'm not going to complain about fees all banks have them but BOA changes your account to suit your needs WITHOUT notification WITHOUT approval and when you sign up for the account they have this in the small print that they can change anything

If I could rank Bank Of America 0, I certainly would. I have filed the same claim no lie at least 10 times because BOA people and their investigators are the most incompetent people in the world.

This bank has the worst customer service and inflexible policies. In 40 years I have not encountered a bank as customer UN-friendly as this one. Do not use this bank.

BOA also needs to have Customer Service phone support BEYOND 10PM! My early and first experiences with BOA has been less than pleasant so I am doing my bit to express my dissatisfaction!

I am so mad at this bank i have to tell someone about it. i deposited my tax return check at an atm. it cleared and i paid of a bunch of bills. 2 days later my account was at a negative. i called and they said it was a cashiers check from another bank and they sent me back the check.

I read all the stories about bank of america, but believe me is even worst if you work for bank of America

Pros: Direct Deposit, Online Banking Cons: Lied About Charges, Poor Customer Service. I wouldn't have such bad feelings toward BOA if they had just been upfront with me about the fees for their services. I wouldn't have changed banks if I knew they were going to charge me.

Good bank services, if you can put up with the way they treat their customers. They continually send junk mail to us about credit cards and this and that. And I have never got so many phone calls about everything! They always want to sell me more and more junk and make me pay for more and more services.

0 stars. I've had them since I was 16 and now that I'm paying $300 in overdraft fees--AFTER a bank representative @ the Rhode Island call center told me I wouldn't have any--I've cut up my cards and cancelled my direct deposit.

Pros: Big, nationwide Cons: No service, high fees. Bank of America is the worst bank that we have ever done business with. If we were not moving in about four months, we would close out our accounts, but the problem will take care of itself in a short time. Be careful about all the many charges that they will tack on your account, and the few is any benefits you might get.

My financial situation has finally smoothed out over the past three months and the only thing hindering my efforts was BOA. This company is run and regulated my incompetent, apathetic, condescending, THIEVES. I don't know if complaints such as all I've read here would hold much sway against a huge blood sucking corporation such as BOA, but I would recommend everyone who has been robbed by them file a formal complaint with the better business bureau and any where else to spread word of how blatantly awful this place is.

BoA is an unbelievable bad bank. I overestimated how much I had in the account, which is my wrong doing, but to allow us to keep overdrafting our account without a single notification is robbery!

BOA is crap! ive been with them for 5 painful and stressful months and i regret switching from chase, every single day!! the worst part is EVERY SINGLE TIME I CALL OR GO IN, THEY ALWAYS ASK ME ABOUT MY ACCOUNT NUMBER.

Pros: The bank is so big, it has any financial service you could ever hope for Cons: The bank is so big, it is impersonal and makes you feel like a number. I can’t say I’m very impressed with Bank of America as a place to conduct financial transactions. I like the fact that I can do practically anything with this bank. It is so large that it is basically a one- stop shopping center for personal finance. But the large size has, unfortunately, gotten in the way of personal, friendly service. For this and other reasons, I’m going to give Bank of America a non- recommendation.

Charge Chrge Charge for every thing!! Not when they owe you money , only when u accidently with draw money. even when you have 10000000 in another account with them. worst customer service ever. They say you cant transfer money to another BOA account.

Slow service. Short hours. High turnover and managers who really are of little help beyond plain vanilla requests(even that is a stretch).

Pros: a great name Cons: lousy customer service. I remember when I got out of the Navy and handed a branch of Bank of America in Los Angeles a cashier's check for $2,000. At first they refused to cash it. Two decades later I tried to cash a company check with the name of Bank of America on it at a local Bank of America and they refused to cash it because I did not have two picture IDs.

BOA is the worst bank ever!!! They lie about the posting dates. Everyday, I check my account online and on the 17th I had a positive balance with some pending charges. On the 18th, I noticed that I had a pending charge from a company that I had closed my account with so I deposited funds through the ATM to cover the transaction. The next day I called the bank to block future debits from the company and the rep told me that she couldn't do anything because I was 140.00 in the neg.. The bank changed the posting date to the 17th instead of the 18th.

0 STARS!!! The worst experience I've ever had with a bank by far! I tried paying my cc by phone and thought everything was fine. It turns out the customer service typed in the wrong bank account # for what ever reason and the next thing I know I have bill collectors calling my house!! Then they have the nerve to freeze my account for their mistake. They also put the money back into my account as a cash advance...probably to cover their tracks.

Pros: customer service helpful, locations everywhere Cons: sneaky hidden fees, website doesn't work right, ridiculous interest rates. If you like the feeling of a stranger's warm, sweaty hands moving slowly around in your pockets, its probing fingers groping for loose change while rubbing up against your precious privies, I heartily recommend Bank of America. They also have branches and "Versatellers" everywhere.

Extremely bad customer service, and will take every opportunity to charge $35 for "over draft protection" for every transaction. If any bank needs to be wiped off the surface it should be Bank of America for STEALING money from the not so wealthy.

Bankofamerica sucks. They said that if I recommended some people to open up an account there, I could get a reward of 25 dollars, and it will go directly into my account. However, I waited for hald a year and didn't get the money.

Not surprised to see them worth a star and a half...They once lost one of my mortgage payments for crying out loud! They gulped it and then was never applied to my loan...For months...So they called and wrote and called and wrote nastier letters, I tried explaining it had been paid, my banks statements showed it anyway!

I have never had so many problems with another bank. Every time that I go there it is always a 15 plus minute stop. They take forever to do what I came there for, and always seem to help someone that drove up after me first. I also get at least 1 toll free call from them a day, even though I already talked to them about not calling and resetting my preferences on the site. Those stupid sales reps trick people into accepting something for 'free' then all of a sudden there's a mysterious fee taken out of my checking account. And one time, I was asked if I wanted to receive information on a credit card and I said yes and realized a few days later that it was an open account.

On 2 occasions I made CASH deposits that showed up in my account & posted so I made transactions. The next day the deposits had magically dissappeared and I was in the red. They claimed I would be refunded OD fees but I never was. I opened a second account about a week ago and I received my email saying it was approved. We used our debit card for our older account Friday afternoon. Friday evening my husband looked at our online banking and it said -$888,888,888!!! They froze both of the accounts WITHOUT notifying us.

I wish I could give them zero stars! They do whatever they can to take your money. Their customer service is terrible and they have no heart. This bank is all about taking your money

Pros: Good Service, Great for Overseas Cons: Human staff a bit unhelpful at times. I would have to say we have had a very positive relationship with Bank of America. I do know that when things "go wrong" with them you have to jump on to it early and stay connected until you get resolution.

Pros: Accounts are easy to open and easily transferable between states, offers debit cards Cons: High fees, poor customer service, disadvantageous policies. Bank of America is a large national bank and accounts are easily transferable between states. The telephone banking is easy to use. I have not used the web site so I cannot comment on it. High fees, poor customer service, policies that are disadvantageous to customers and impersonal tellers are the problems I have encountered using this bank.

This bank SUCKS!!! they are not considerate at all. First they don't let international students use the online transfer facility. Bcoz they have their on lame rules. And upon that they keep charging you every sort of fees possible.

Horrible- deposited funds and were held, then after part of funds released they still returned checks for far less than the amount that was available. Bad business practice. Nothing given about checks being held either when deposit was made!

I'm so angry with Bank of America I barely know where to begin. In summary, they have the WORST customer service of ANY business I've ever dealt with. Bank of America manipulates the posting dates of your transactions. And then the representatives are completely unwilling and unable to do anything to help you out as a customer!

Bank of America likes to change the rules that result in big fees for the customer in relation to both their checking and savings accounts as well as their credit cards. I would not recommend Bank of America to anyone unless you have the time to be a watch dog on their account changes.

Pros: Lots of branches. Cons: You don't dare go in them. BOA will soak you to use their ATMs if you aren't a customer to boot. Recently, the bank raised the fee it charges for ATM withdrawals to non-account holders from $2 to $3.

I think this bank is ok if you need a bank that bad. But BE CAREFUL, THEY FEE YOU LIKE CRAZY. Even if the account is free, they are always going to FIND A WAY TO CHARGE. Check everythinfg online, daily. THEY WOULD CHARGE YOU FOR YOUR NAME IF THEY COULD.

does not deserve any stars for a rating. I have had terrible experiences with banks and Bank of America is no better. Talk about "nickle and diming" a person to death they have fees for walking in the door.

they charge you for everything even if it is there mistake. we have paid over 500 dollars in two months in overdraft fees that where never plasuable.they would take money out of our account then put it back when we got low on funds then tell us we were overdrafted.

Pros: Banks All Over the Place Cons: Have to Take out $20.00 at a time in atm. There is a 24 hour number that you can call and they will tell you your last five withdrawals or deposits or more if you wish. If you need any more information then what you get from the automated menu then you can hit 0 and an operator will come on the line. If you have a problem with your home banking program , they will send you to someone that knows all about that and will walk you through it. These people are very patient too.

Pros: Locations everywhere. Cons: I can't use the words "Bank of America" without getting a surcharge. I don't recommend banking at Bank of America to anyone. They make no efforts whatsoever to accomodate you, and they'll end up taking as much money out of your account as you do.

I actually give them no stars. Do not open any kind of money account with an unethical company. I believe BofA is sneaky and tries to charge you for all sorts of things. If you miss it, they get away with it. You don't want to deal with an unethical company like this.

Doing business with Bank of America was the worst banking decision I ever made. They cost me more money than if I would have just left my money out on the front porch.

this bank is horrible, how can you close an account without it even having any history,and their policy about closing an account without any warning is bogus.
