Suntrust will ROB you. CUSTOMERS BEWARE. SUNTRUST WILL LOOK FOR WAYS TO GET YOUR MONEY AND WILL NOT RE-IMBURSE YOU FOR THEIR MISTAKES. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS INDIFFERENT TO THEIR CUSTOMERS.

had suntrust for 6 years. first year, no holds on deposited checks. now, 6 years later, they can debit a deposit if it doesn't clear in 3 business days, but 5 business days later, and commercial deposit (local bank) still not clear.

I never really had a problem with suntrust until recently. Alot of these people are right, they will rob you with all these ridiculous overdraft fees. They recently canceled my savings account without me knowing.

Pros: Great customer service Cons: Securites Department leaves a lot to be desired. I have been banking with SunTrust bank for almost 15 years, and after dealing with other big banks, I highly recommend them. For the most part, the personnel at SunTrust have been easy to deal with.

SunTrust explains to you the overdraft fees when you open an account and if you wrote a check or did a debit they are not mind readers and do not know what you spend or what checks you write They only know what has cleared your account there for allowing you to withdraw money you say you dont have.

Pros: Many good locations, decent customer service Cons: High minimum balances, sloppy computer system, mistake after mistake always with an apology. There are too many other banks out there offering good services, in my experience I recommend you steer clear of this one.

Pros: Great service and staff who personalizes cross-sells while giving some away free. Cons: I haven't had a poor experience yet. SunTrust won my consumer business with multiple mortgages, a credit card, free checking and more. Now they're about to win my business accounts too.

Pros: Generally friendly customer service over the phone. Cons: 800-number means call 800 numbers before you get somewhere. I'm torn between the yes and no answer on recommending SunTrust. It seems some individuals there do make a difference, but once they're gone

They have alot of locations, and extended hours for the ones in the Wal Marts...but several have been robbed around us lately.

Pros: A bank on every corner! Cons: Too many fee's, nothing is free, lose to much money, poor computer system! If you like lost money, too many fee's to name, and poor service, then this is the bank for you! Otherwise, do not TRUST Suntrust!

Pros: A+ Customer Service! Cons: Would like Saturday hours at a drive-thru location. SunTrust offers a free personal checking account that will fit our needs. They also offer other services like online bill pay. Thankfully, their user friendly website makes it a snap to use. SunTrust has a reward system for your debit and credit cards. Every dollar you spend earns you points that you can redeem for merchandise, gift certificates - just about anything. They also support charity organizations.

Pros: Helpful, courteous, and they leave my money alone Cons: None that I've seen. I would certainly recommend SunTrust to anyone who's sick of all the stupid restrictions other banks try to put on your accounts and banking activities.

SunTrust does not know the meaning of customer service - they make mistakes, they are proven to be their error and they still do nothing to make it right for the customer. SunTrust has proven to be an arrogant, self righteous banking institution who can not be trusted to do right by their clients.
