I receive payment for a product I sold on eBay and utilized PayPal as the go between for the fund transfer. I let the money sit in my PayPal account and a month later the money was returned to the purchaser by PayPal. Now I'm stuck, I have no product and no money from the sale due to PayPal's infinite wisdom, thanks for the help PayPal.

Beware. Stay away from this company at all costs. This company will hold your financial information hostage and never let you delete it or close your account. Plus they will ship to the wrong address or pay using the wrong account even after you specify which account or address you want used. They refuse to help you when you call customer service and are extremely rude about it. What they are doing must be illegal and I plan on reporting them to the authorities since they won't close my account or remove my information.

Don't trust Paypal's Resolution process. Bought a CD from seller who sent us totally different product. Seller didn't want to reimburse us, we filed claim through Paypal. Paypal told us to return product with a tracking number which meant we had to use registered mail back to US. Paypal promised we will be reimbursed for shipping. We returned product, but only the amount paid to seller was reimbursed. Paypal didn't pay us back the shipping of incorrect item. Paypal is no good with resolution - be careful.

steer clear business owners. they can suspend your account and hold the money anytime they feel like it. do not expect to verify yourself only once.

now they want your ss, bank acc, credit card, tax records, drivers license, vendor contacts, invoicing, the list keeps growing. they still are holding $4600.

THIS CONCERNS BUSINESS ACCOUNTS THAT EXPECT SALES TO EXCEED $1500 PER MONTH.

ONCE YOU HIT $2500 IT IS QUITE LIKELY THAT PAYPAL WILL FREEZE YOUR ACCOUNT UNTIL YOU VERIFY YOUR BUSINESS.THIS OF COURSE MEANS THEY HOLD YOUR MONEY [AND COLLECT INTEREST]. NOW, I SENT 10 YEARS OF IRS TAX RETURNS, RESALE CERTIFICATE, FL CORP DOC..., ..... WE ARE A 25 YEAR OLD BRICK AND MORTAR STORE FRONT CORPORATION AND I CANNOT VERIFY MY BUSINESS WITH PAYPAL. WE DO $850,000 A YEAR, ALL LEGAL, ALL TAXED, I CANNOT VERIFY WITH PAYPAL. $450, 000 IN TERMS ANNUALLY, I CANNOT VERIFY WITH PAYPAL, EVERY YEAR THE BEST OF BRANDON AWARD, CANNOT VERIFY WITH PAYPAL, WE ARE ON THE WEBSITE FOR FL DIV OF CORP AND , YOU GUESSED IT, CANNOT VERIFY OURSELVES WITH PAYPAL. OH, BOYS AND GIRLS, WHEN PAYPAL HOLDS YOUR MONEY IT IS 180 DAYS. THATS RIGHT 6 MONTHS. PAYPAL IS NOT A BANK THEREFORE THEY ARE NOT FEDERALLY REGULATED AS SUCH.

I first used paypal in November 2010 I thought it would be an easy process and that I would get the results I was hoping for, but unfortunitly this was not the case. I had organised to buy 2 tickets to a concert from a woman whom I had met through an add on GumTree. We arranged that she would send me the tickets and I would send her my money through PayPal.

Four months went by after the transition was made and I had still not recieved the tickets, it was a week before the concert and I was very concerned that she had not responded to my e-mails.

I went to enquire on PayPal about reporting fraud, and I was extremley dissapointed that they were unable to help due to the 45 day legal agreement. I was never informed of this agreement, and it was never made clear. I am extremly upset about the lack of support I revieved from PayPal and now I have come to realise that PayPal do not live up to the high standards that they claim.

My expectations were very high and now I will never concider using this site again becasue the lack of support and general misguidence. PayPal have been very dissapointing in their reaction to my case and I would like to warm others not to place their trust in thier hands.

Paypal should make their legal agreements clearer and constantly remind you of the risks you are taking using the site.

Paypal is a Sham. 45 Days protection when Your CC Company gives you 90. Excessive fees. Exchange rates 4 Points below market. Hold Money and close and cease accounts AT WILL. I don't understand why Anyone would use them. They destroy businesses and lives. They even put a freeze on money being donated to Haiti. They profited 10 Million dollars last year in interst alone on ceased and held money (YOUR MONEY) which they grabbed from unsuspecting sellers and then placed to earn money.

Check Paypalsucks.com for many stories.

You can see a few horror stories that they have created. In addition to mine.

Paypal is a great online web site and money management tool that is a must have to go along with your Ebay account. It speeds up processes for both buyers and sellers on Ebay, plus there are possibly thousands of web sites that now except Paypal as a payment method

For quick money transfers, nothing is better. It is a must. The customer service is not customer friendly, though with the announcement of Paypal Europe transferring over to Paypal Luxembourg. All the wrongs could be dealt with. Fingers crossed.

Paypal when it worked was great, forget the charges it was quick and easy. But when it went wrong it cost us $8500 and it seems there is nothing we can do about it.

Well this has definitely dragged me into the 21st century! I have been very impressed with the efficiency of notifications of money received and the ease of administration of my account which had to be good as I am an accountant by trade!

Paypal is a site that can be trusted. The site is very user friendly. It is easy to set up an account. If there are any problems you can contact the paypal team and they will answer any queries you have. They generally get back to you within 24 hours, although they do say give them 48 hours. I buy and sell on Ebay and it is definitely my preferred method of payment.

It is a unique concept about money transactions with just an email address, somewhat similar to wire transfer. The worst thing about it is that it is not a banking corporation or a financial institution. The chances of fraud are open easy and open in such a case.

When it comes to ecommerce, online auctions, and working/getting paid online PayPal has become the standard, but how exactly does it stack up. In this review we will evaluate the PayPal service based on four key elements: ease of use, customization and special features, customer service, and lastly transaction time.

Paypal as you may know is an online banking service and can be used in many different ways. Having investigated and used this banking service for about three years, it has in my opinion served it's purpose well.

The lowestcost, broadfeatured system I've found for receiving payments on the Web is PayPal and it doesn't require a merchant account or payment gateway. What's more, many international merchants can use it with relative ease to sell products in US dollars. With its integrated shopping cart feature, it is finally mature enough for small online merchants to use to launch low cost ecommerce sites.

Paypal is a wonderful internet bank! I have been using this service for almost 4 years and still enjoying the service very much! I am also happy to witness a small unknown group has turned out to be so huge. Before, no one wants to use this service, but it seems nowadays, all the banks are begging to be their partners.

I had been working with someone on some small freelance projects and she always paid her invoices on time and without issue. Then when I needed to take a vacation and would not be available to her for two weeks she threw a fit like I was her employee or her dog or something. She went into Paypal and tried to cancel every single payment she'd ever sent me the past few months snce the start of our working together. She is a real nutjob I see it now, this one. But anyway, Paypal just didn't give her any money back at all she was supposed to pay those bills anyway and only tried to steal it out of spite because I am Indian I think she thought she could get away with it. Thanks Paypal but watch out for peopel and freelancees watch out

PayPal is a very good solution for small or medium sized online merchants. They constantly expand their services to new areas either with the location or the functional meaning of that term and further develop their current services to meet all members' needs.

Beware of transfering money with Paypal ! I recently transfered a large amount of money to a friend and had to pay a 2.5% fee. Upon talking with the paypal support people they pretty much said check the fees schedule on the home page (which they change at any time they please) and sure enough it was there! They said you agreed to this when you set up your account (what 5 years ago!) so anyway sending money by any other means is probably better than PayPal!!!

Paypal seem very thorough on verifying who you are in order to conform to money laundering regulations, and if you do over a certain amount of transfers you will get asked an in depth questionnaire and need to do further levels of verification.

I personally think that Paypal is the best online bank account or bank holder that there is in the world. I say that because most of the websites in the Internet that pays or receives payment uses Paypal. Also, Paypal does not require the user to have a credit card; therefore, anyone can register for a Paypal account.

Paypal has just become very neccessary for anyone paying for items on Ebay. Some survey sites even pay through it exclusively. So really it has become the norm for anyone doing business online weather you are purchasing items from ebay or doing surveys on various sites on the internet. Paypal is a great site and it helps us to manage our funds. If there is any problem on Ebay there is the option of paypal helping you out. And then you have the wonderful option of direct deposit of the survey funds if you so choose or you can always shop if you want! Also a fun option!

I haven't had much experience with the resolution centre or anything like that. The only time i had to complain about an ebay seller they refunded me within 30 days which i thought was quite good. Also late last year i had to upgrade my account from personal to premier and i thought it was really easy. It only took about 5 minutes!!

PayPal When I became active online and started to earn from my writings, I was in searched of a safe and secure financial entity to make my earnings be directly deposited and be protected from fraud and deceits. PayPal.com is a free site where you can receive and transfer money online to merchants, bank accounts and other PayPal members. When you are a seller of items, or you have a business in which you want to provide for your buyers a safety and a guarantee that they are going to need as well as love, you can use PayPal. Pay Pal offers a lot for the buyers, and sellers alike. The PayPal is leader in Ecommerce transactions has provided, for several years running, an absolutely free service for private users along with inexpensive rates for business transactions.

I purchased a "fake" phone from a user on Ebay. When I returned the phone, the user said I did the damage to the phone when I did not. He tried to destroy my rep as an online purchaser. Emails were sent threatening me. Luckily an Ebay person told me about the dispute option at Paypal since I had payed through Paypal. I went through the process and Paypal looked at all the emails sent and I won the dispute. Paypal gave me all my money back.

Paypal 's service is great but some of their live support people are quite terrible. Their lack of English skills is very apparent and really annoying to deal with. I am quite patient by nature but between them and Earthlink, I have now decided that choosing companies with good customer service and excellent communication skills is by far the most important ingredient in my selection.

My thoughts on PayPal are the clear, they offer the best internet payment system on the internet today, but the thing I don't like about PayPal is the nerve of their charges. 3.4% + 20p. That's robbery, I would rather take a cheque thanks at least it will clear quicker than PayPal funds.
